Oklahoma City– Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak will be available to meet Tulsa fairgoers on Friday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
The Oklahoma Insurance Department has staffed an educational and consumer assistance booth at the Oklahoma City and Tulsa state fairs in addition to several county fairs and other events throughout the state. At the Tulsa State Fair, the OID display is located on the lower level of the QuikTrip Center, booth 180.
On Friday Commissioner Doak will join OID’s Consumer Assistance team at the booth to field questions, concerns and complaints about insurance in Oklahoma. A representative of OID’s Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program (SHIP) will also be available to answer questions about the upcoming Medicare open enrollment period.
The booth’s additional features include an informational video loop, an array of educational brochures on insurance issues and other “take-home” materials for consumers.
