OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak issued the following statementabout Denise Johnson being named President and CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma effective Sept. 1.
“Denise is an excellent choice for this position. Her career with the ECI Agency in Piedmont and her background as IIAO’s first chairwoman gives her a unique insight into the issues facing Oklahoma agents. Under Denise’s leadership, I know IIAO will continue to grow and meet the diverse needs of Oklahoma families. I congratulate her on this exciting new chapter.”
Doak issued the following statement regarding the retirement of current IIAO President/CEO Dan Ramsey.
“I am tremendously grateful to Dan Ramsey for his countless contributions to the IIAO. Dan has been an amazing leader, mentor and industry trailblazer. His countless efforts over the last 15 years have been instrumental to the independent agency system. In addition to his work with IIAO, Dan is a former state representative, a Rotary member and executive director of the Oklahoma Market Assistance Program which helps Oklahoma homeowners struggling to find insurance coverage. Dan has dedicated his life to serving others and he is a true Oklahoma legend. I wish him the happiest of retirements.”
